Tal & Danielle
“This ring stands out because it features a canary colored Pear cut Nexus Diamond center stone, with 32 Round Brilliant cut pure carbon True Grown Diamond accent stones. The meaning infused in the number of stones makes it even more special for the couple.”
HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
We met on the online dating site, Ok Cupid. Our first date was dinner and dessert with friends at Montrio Bistro.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TOGETHER?
We have been together almost two years, since November 17, 2014.
CAN YOU SHARE YOUR PROPOSAL STORY?
My proposal starts with the design of the ring. My fiancée, Danielle, turned 33 this year, so I wanted the ring to represent the age that she was when we got engaged. Working with the designer, we created a ring with 33 total stones—a center stone surrounded by 32 accent stones. I took Danielle to the restaurant where we had our first date, for dinner with friends. We are friends with the executive chef at the restaurant, so he made sure to reserve us a table by the kitchen so he could assist with the ring. He wrote “Will You Marry Me?” in chocolate on a special plate with a birthday candle on it, and placed the ring box in the middle so it actually looked like a personal birthday cake at first glance. I gave Danielle a note and made her stand up to read it aloud to our friends. While she read, the chef brought out the “cake” and everyone sang Happy Birthday. Danielle didn’t even notice when I got down on one knee! When the plate was set in front of her, she looked at the plate, then at me. I asked her again, “will you marry me?” as I took the ring out of the box. She said, “Yes! Of course I will!” I slid the ring on—a perfect fit—and the whole restaurant applauded. Then the chef brought out real desserts for everyone so we could celebrate!
HOW WAS YOUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH FOREVER ARTISANS?
The overall process was great. Once we started, everything came in a timely fashion and met all my timelines.
“He wrote, ‘will you marry me?’ in chocolate on a special plate.”
WHERE DID THE INSPIRATION FOR THIS DESIGN COME FROM?
Danielle wears a ring that she loves, and it is similar to what she wanted in an engagement ring. I found a design that I could work with and started from those two inspirations.
