"The bride…turned around and handed the bouquet to Rebecca. [Then] I got down on one knee to ask her to marry me!” -Austin

Couple Photo

How did you two meet?

We first met during college while tailgating for a football game. We became friends, and it was several years until we began dating.

How long have you been together?

We’ve been together since June, 2014.

Can you share your proposal story?

Rebecca was the maid of honor in her best friend’s wedding. I (Austin) got approval from the bride to propose during the reception. During the bouquet toss, the bride acted like she was going to throw the bouquet, but then turned around and handed it right to Rebecca. That’s when I walked out onto the dance floor and got down on one knee to ask her to marry me!

Ring Views

Where did the inspiration for this design come from?

We got the basic ideas from looking in bridal magazines and jewelry store websites. After we were advised by a friend to consider Forever Artisans, we decided we wanted something unique and combined what we’d already seen with some of our own ideas to complete the design.

Did we meet all of your expectations from design image to finished piece?

The whole process from start to finish was amazingly easy and everyone was great to work with. Our expectations were exceeded on all fronts!

How was your overall experience with Forever Artisans?

We sent in pictures of what we wanted, and shortly after that the designers at Forever Artisans sent us the first renderings of the ring. They did a perfect job of capturing all the details we wanted. After some minor adjustments, we approved the ring design, and a few weeks later it was at our door! Overall the process was very easy and everyone was great to work with.

Designer Quote

"This ring incorporates two of my favorite design elements—a split shank band and a trellis setting. The split shank represents two different paths coming together, and the trellis represents intertwining lives supporting one another. This ring is a beautiful example of everything a strong marriage should be."
