Why did you choose to design a ring?
We decided to do a custom ring because our relationship is unique, and I wanted a ring to reflect both me and my husband. I also work in healthcare as a nurse, so I needed a comfortable, low-profile ring and I didn’t want to compromise on beauty or style.
How was your overall experience with Forever Artisans?
It was amazing! I was over-the-top impressed with how seamless the process was and the excellent customer service. I really liked seeing the CAD design so I could see my style in reality.
Where did the inspiration for this design come from?
My husband was born in September, and I was born in April, so I wanted to use both of our birthstones in the ring. (September’s birthstone is sapphires and April’s is diamonds.) I was glad to use lab-created sapphires and diamonds. The diamonds surround the sapphire to represent eternity, and the diamonds go three-quarters of the way around the band to symbolize ongoing love. I love the European shank, which keeps the center of the ring from twisting around my finger, and it makes the ring very wide and comfortable.
“I was looking for a company that was environmentally sourced or were not blood diamonds. I never want to promote unethical work.”
How did you hear about Forever Artisans?
I was looking for a company that was environmentally sourced or were not blood diamonds. I never want to promote unethical work. I wanted to work with a company that would fairly trade labor and services with good wages and sustainability. That is why I chose to go with lab-created stones over mined. In the end, I find the quality for the price to be superior to mined diamonds.
Did we meet all of your expectations from design image to finished piece?
Yes, above and beyond!
"The challenge of this design was creating a ring that is ornate and meaningful, while also being very sturdy and low-profile. The faux bezel around the outside of the halo adds a design element that looks beautiful and helps protect the small accent stones, which is perfect for someone like Jackie who has a very hands-on job."
