“My fiance’s style is very Victorian, and mine is Art Deco, so I was looking for a turn of the century feeling design with features of both” -Nathaniel
How did you two meet?
OKcupid.com, of all places! We were both on multiple online dating platforms at the time, and it's interesting that we actually started dating on the free one. At around the time of our third date, we were matched on eHarmony too.
How long have you been together?
Can you share your proposal story?
My fiancee is a cancer survivor, and recently celebrated 10 years cancer-free with a big party for her friends and family. She also invited many of my family, including my parents and grandmother. I conspired with her mother and best friend to get her alone for a few minutes, and popped the question.
How was your overall experience with Forever Artisans?
Spectacular! The design process was easy, the designer and staff were wonderful, and the finished product is stunning.
How did you hear about us?
We saw something on theknot.com.
Where did the inspiration for this design come from?
My fiancee's style is very Victorian, and mine is Art Deco, so I was looking for a turn-of-the-century-feeling design with features of both. My grandmother offered me the diamond from her engagement ring, which my grandfather (and namesake) had proposed to her with. I found a beautiful setting inspired by the late Victorian period at a jeweler in New York, but the setting couldn't accommodate my grandmother's diamond. Working with my Forever Artisans designer, I kept the overall shape and a lot of the detail from the setting I was inspired by, but added some touches of my own.
